Job Purpose
A Heavy Goods Driver is a busy role where no two days will be the same: one minute you will be
providing exceptional customer service to our customers in the branch or on deliveries, the next
you will be checking out going goods on the vehicles for deliveries.
Main Duties
Heavy Goods Driver responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- The driving of any of the company vehicles to any address within the Island
- Retrieval of goods prior to despatch, including checking for quantity and quality
- Loading of goods on to vehicles ready for delivery
- Removal of goods from vehicles and safe delivery & storage at customer premises
- Completion of drivers sheets and confirmation of delivery on Bistrack.
- Ensuring security of products during delivery
- Keep vehicles in your use clean & tidy
- Picking goods for delivery accurately
- Checking of colleagues picking to minimise errors
- Assisting with general branch duties
