Job Purpose

Building Products Sales Representatives are responsible for selling a variety of construction and home improvement products to contractors, builders, and homeowners.

The role requires a comprehensive understanding of the products they're selling, as well as a knack for communication and negotiation.

Main Duties

Building Products Sales Representative responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Ø  Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing customers

Ø  Educate customers about the features and benefits of our building products

Ø  Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products

Ø  Prepare and deliver sales presentations to prospective customers

Ø  Negotiate sales contracts and prices with customers

Ø  Provide after-sales support, including handling customer complaints and ensuring customer satisfaction

Ø  Monitor market trends and competitor activities

Ø  Meet or exceed sales targets

Ø  Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of orders

Ø  Maintain detailed records of sales activities and transactions

Ø  Keep up-to-date with new product information and upcoming product launches

Ø Shows a positive attitude towards Pentagon (Jersey) Wholesale Limited, their Brand and business area

Ø Supports developing the Pentagon brand to be the first thought when a customer or design team are thinking of a project.

Ø Asks for help if they are unsure of anything that has been asked of them

Ø Keeps up to date with new processes and procedures

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Ø  A proven history of being a successful Building Products Sales Representative or  in the construction sector.

Ø  Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Ø  Must be a strategic thinker and a have strong negotiation skills

Ø  Possess a collaborative mindset and work well as part of a team

Ø  Superior time management abilities and capable of meeting deadlines

Ø  Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask

Ø  Up to date on industry trends, as well as laws and regulations

Ø  Ability to build strong relationships with employees, customers and industry contacts
