Garage Doors & Conservatories
GARAGE DOORS
Garage doors can either add or detract from the outside appearance of your home.
Choosing a garage door requires careful choice and consideration. They typically include colour, material, design and inclusion of windows to add decorative appeal to your home. In addition, we recommend garage door installations are undertaken by skilled installers, for your safety as well as correct installation.

A garage door is available either as a tilt-up, also known as up and over, or a sectional roll-up, or roller.
A up and over garage door opens by rotating out and upward. They are less expensive but have some disadvantages, such as not being able to operate if objects are placed too close to the door, and letting some snow and water in when it's used.
A sectional roller garage door has four or more hinged horizontal panels that roll over tracks and lie against the ceiling, or roll up, when the door is open. Sectionals are more expensive and do require professional installation, but they do not use up additional garage space and are usually stronger and safer.
Automatic door openers are becoming standard, and can be easily used with both types of doors.
There are basically four types of material used to make a garage door... wood, steel, aluminium, and fiberglass.
Most garage doors can be easily customised with paint or stains. Wood garage doors are typically available with short recessed panels, long raised panels, and flush designs. Optional windows and glass inserts can be added to most doors for practical or for esthetic reasons.

CONSERVATORIES
A conservatory can be a stunning addition to any home adding extra space with endless uses, creating a room with light and space and giving year round views of the garden, as well as adding value to your home.
Built to last and virtually maintenance free, you will be amazed at how much a conservatory will transform your home.

Orangeries on the other hand represent the ideal combination of the benefits and looks of a conventional extension. They are wonderfully light and airy spaces due to the glazed roofs as well as being cosy and inviting throughout the year.

What's the difference...?
- Conservatories are characterised by simpler styling with a slim structure and a larger glazed roof.
- Dating back to the 17th century and originally built for growing exotic plants and fruits, orangeries generally have more columns and are characterised by a glazed lantern within a flat roof.
- A feature of traditional orangeries is the fantastic range of roof lanterns which transform the room bringing in a real sense of light and space.
